What this means for you

Charters for more than six guests follow the U.S. Coast Guard bareboat charter model. Here is exactly how it works, and why it keeps your pricing transparent.

You charter the boat

The listed rate covers exclusive, private use of the 50-foot yacht for your chosen length of time.

You choose your captain

Every trip runs with a licensed, professional captain for safety. You select your captain from our roster and hire them directly.

The captain is paid separately

The captain's fee is arranged with and paid directly to your captain, separate from the boat charter fee. It is not bundled into the boat rate or paid by Top Fun Charters.

Direct, with no markups

You work straight with the owner-operator, so there are no broker markups or hidden booking fees, just competitive, transparent pricing.

Cancellation & Weather Guarantee

We understand that plans change and Florida weather can be unpredictable. Our policy is designed to be fair to our guests while reserving your yacht exclusively for your scheduled time.

Cancellations & rescheduling

More than 5 days (120 hours) before departure: Cancel for a full refund of charter fees, less any non-refundable payment-processing fees actually incurred. You may also reschedule one time at no charge.

72–120 hours before departure: Choose either a 50% refund or 100% charter credit toward one future charter.

Less than 72 hours before departure: The reservation is nonrefundable and cannot be rescheduled, except when our Weather Guarantee or another operator cancellation provision applies.

Our Weather Guarantee

If a National Weather Service Small Craft Advisory or more severe marine warning applicable to our planned operating waters is in effect during a substantial portion of your scheduled charter, you may reschedule at no charge or receive a full refund.

The licensed captain also always retains the authority to delay, modify or cancel a charter when actual conditions are unsafe, even when no advisory has been issued. If the captain cancels the charter for safety reasons before departure, you will receive the same reschedule-or-refund protection.

What if the forecast just doesn't look great?

Florida weather changes quickly. Rain, clouds, scattered showers or thunderstorms, cooler temperatures, wind, chop, or an unfavorable weather forecast do not by themselves qualify for a weather cancellation.

If no qualifying marine advisory is in effect and the captain determines the charter can be operated safely, the charter remains scheduled. Choosing not to participate because the weather is unpleasant or isn't what you hoped for is considered a customer cancellation and the standard cancellation policy applies.

Weather decisions are generally made within 4 hours of departure, when forecasts and actual conditions are much more reliable. Please do not assume your charter is cancelled based on an earlier forecast.
